Among his enduring interests are the Mongol Empire and the extraordinary rise of Genghis Khan, whose transformation of scattered tribes into a world-changing power remains one of history&#8217;s most remarkable achievements.<br><br>Known for his historical perspective, wide-ranging curiosity and dry sense of humour, King of the North enjoys examining questions of faith, identity, culture and political order.
